Common questions

How do I restore my purchase?

Tap Restore purchases on the plan screen, or open Settings in the app, then Your plan. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple handles subscriptions, so you cancel on your iPhone. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Swipe Roll. In the app, Settings, Your plan, Manage subscription takes you there. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Where are my backups?

In the folder you chose in Files. Swipe Roll makes a Swipe Roll folder there, with a folder for each year and a folder for each month inside it, for example Swipe Roll, 2023, 2023-07. Your photos and videos are plain files in those folders, with videos in a Videos folder inside the month.

A hidden folder named .clearoll holds the list of copied files and their checks. Do not delete it. Swipe Roll uses it to know what is already backed up.

Can I copy my files back without the app?

Yes. Backed-up files are normal photos and videos on your own drive. Open them in Files and save them to Photos, or copy them to a computer. You do not need Swipe Roll to open them.

What happens when Pro ends?

Swipe Roll shows the plan screen and nothing else works until you choose a plan again. Nothing on your drive changes. The files stay yours, and you can open them anywhere.

Swipe Roll only sees some of my photos

Swipe Roll works with the photos you allow. To clean everything, allow full access. Open your iPhone’s Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Photos, then Swipe Roll, and choose Full Access.

Do I have to allow the camera and microphone?

No. They are optional and only used for Gesture and Voice. Your iPhone asks only when you choose one of them. Both work on your iPhone, and nothing is recorded or sent. Swipe works without them.

Does a swipe delete my photo?

No. A swipe never deletes. Your iPhone asks you first, and deleted photos wait up to 30 days in Recently Deleted, where you can still get them back.
